Bush Impeachment - The Illinois State Legislature is Preparing to Drop a Bombshell: "The Illinois General Assembly joins a growing chorus of voices calling for censure or impeachment of President Bush including Democratic state committees in Vermont, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Nevada and North Carolina as well as the residents themselves of seven towns in Vermont, seventy Vermont state legislators and Congressman John Conyers. The call for impeachment is starting to grow well beyond what could be considered a fringe movement. An ABC News/Washington Post Poll Conducted April 6-9 showed that 33% of Americans currently support Impeaching President Bush, coincidentally, only a similar amount supported impeaching Nixon at the start of the Watergate investigation. If and when Illinois HJR0125 hits the capitol and the individual charges are publicly investigated, that number is likely to grow rapidly. Combined with the very real likelihood that Rove is about to be indicted in the LeakGate investigation, and Bush is in real trouble beyond his plummeting poll numbers. In order to benefit the the rich and big business, especially big oil and big
pharmaceuticals, Bush's Republican mob swindled all poor people and
those of the middle class, the old, the needy, the sick, the "illegal" aliens,
the students and the entire next generation. The wealthy were awarded
fortunes gouged from ordinary people. For every dollar the worker earns
today, the boss gets over $1000 for damn little labor.
Regrettable many of the top crooks, bosses of the Republican mob,
including Bush, Cheney and even the crackpot Alaskan senator,
Ted Stevens, escaped justice. If there have ever been wicked politicians
who should be impeached, Bush, Cheney and Stevens are them! We're not
talking about a trivial thing like a blowjob or a sexual dalliance. These are
real criminals responsible for war, lies, killing tens of thousands of people,
stealing hundreds of millions of dollars, corruption on a colossal scale,
constitutional violations, pandering to the Christian crazies in order to
abridge others' religious rights and even snooping into the private affairs
of ordinary citizens.
The real criminals aren't in prison. The system is rigged to protect the
politicians and the powerful while prosecuting the poor and the petty criminal.
The era of the "good" politician seems to be waning. There is no longer
much "public service." Now it's public exploitation. Where ever there is
corruption, money, guns and harm, there you'll find droves of conservatives
and Republicans.

Bush pushed the supremacist creed farther by proclaiming as U.S. doctrine, "Any state that harbors terrorists is a terrorist state, and has to be treated accordingly by the civilized world." Bush's veiled threat in his war against terrorism was directed towards any nation that would defy the global interests of the U.S. plutocracy. Citing a contrived connection between Saddam Hussein and the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, neo-conservative bullies proceeded to preemptively shock and awe the world by smashing Iraq to bits and subjecting Iraqis to unimaginable terrors and tortures. Throughout the invasion and occupation of Iraq, propaganda and outright lies from both embedded and hired media celebrities, have been used by the administration to rally support of U.S. citizens by spinning despicable acts into Orwellian sound-bites. However, a few persistent critical news commentators, journalists, and internet bloggers, have exposed the inconsistencies and have courageously spoken truth to power. Irrevocably, the public is grasping the lies and recognizing the liars.
U.S. citizens, now overwhelmingly opposed to Bush's dictatorial policies, rouse to find themselves in a quagmire with the power being stripped away from their constitutional rights by a fraudulent president, corrupt politicians, and appointed cronies. In the name of "security" our homeland is being hustled, sold-off, and sold-out by plutocrats seeking global dominion.
The big lie is: Authorities, who are democratically elected because of superior knowledge and leadership abilities, represent the people by using political power to protect our homeland, and further that most people like this arrangement; therefore to defy authority is to be alone or in such small numbers as to be ineffective and socially rejected.
The bitter truth is: Authorities, who predominately owe their careers to wealthy elitists and therefore cater to wealthy elitists, keep corrupt financial deals secret, employ covert operations by aggressive military-industrial police forces to expand and protect the interests of wealthy elitists. Commercial media also cater to wealthy elitists for advertising dollars by dispensing propaganda and PsyOps to keep people consuming shallow electoral contests of divide and conquer strategists like Karl Rove.
Once a majority of the U.S. populace figures this out, unites, denounces greedy wealthy elitists, and defies corrupt authorities; then citizens have the power to throw the bastards out, open up secret places, and change from the old order of corrupt rule by lawful oppression, to cooperative peaceful commonwealths of social justice

Ask a political person about how to judge a candidate's viability, electability and potential and often, very often, the first criteria they use is the ability to raise money. That means the willingness to sit for four, six, eight hours a day, in a room, making phone calls asking for money. This is probably the number one criteria most beltway politicians judge candidates to be good or not. Let's take this a bit further. What do they use the money they raise for? The number one cost of a campaign is TV advertising. It can suck up millions of dollars.
Take the fund raising out of politics and you make it so much cleaner, so much more free from influence buying and peddling. This is not optional. It is something we must do to rescue politics from the dangerous downward cycle of corruption it has been spiralling into.
Considering the voting public's low opinion of the media, with less 2% considering it excellent and only 13% considering it good or excellent, it is no wonder that the public feels the media should give up ad time for the price of democracy.
